Organ Dedication and Concert

Friday, July 21, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Location: Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Toledo

Fr. Joseph Cardone, pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 6149 Hill Avenue, Toledo, announces the blessing and dedication of the parish’s Shantz pipe organ on Friday, July 21 at 7 p.m.  The public is invited to attend.

The new church facility was dedicated in March by Bishop Daniel Thomas of the Catholic Diocese of Toledo.  The organ was installed by the Muller Pipe Organ Company of Maumee.

Following the blessing of the organ, a dedication concert will be played by Garrett Law, a native of Sylvania. Garrett, a student of Todd Wilson at the Cleveland Institute of Music, received a Bachelor of Music degree in organ performance this past May.  He currently resides in Cleveland, where he serves as Organist-Choirmaster at St. James Anglican Catholic Church and Assistant Organist at St. Stephen's Catholic Church.  He will be joined on the program by soprano, Grace Wipfli.

The program will include organ and vocal works by Frank Bridge, Felix Mendelssohn, Wolfgang Mozart and Gabriel Faure.  A reception will be held following the dedication concert.
