Bishop Daniel E. Thomas to Participate in Worldwide Consecration of Russia and Ukraine to Mary

On March 15, 2022, Pope Francis announced that he will consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary during the Celebration of Penance on Friday, March 25, the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord. Pope Francis was asked to make the consecration by Ukraine’s Latin Rite Catholic bishops amid the invasion of their country with the intention of an end to war and for peace.

Bishops around the world, including Bishop Daniel E. Thomas of the Diocese of Toledo, will join Pope Francis in this consecration. Bishop Thomas encourages all the faithful and all people of good will to join in the intention for an end to war and for peace.

Bishop Daniel E. Thomas invites everyone to join him on Friday, March 25, 2022, with the Consecration beginning at Noon (12 pm), followed by the praying of the Stations of the Cross at Our Lady, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral (2535 Collingwood Blvd, Toledo -
media are invited to attend).

Those who are not able to join us in person are encouraged to join us spiritually via live stream (https://www.facebook.com/diocesetoledo) or the video of the consecration at the same link.
