BISHOP DANIEL E. THOMAS WILL LEAD OVER 150 PILGRIMS FROM THE DIOCESE OF TOLEDO IN THE ANNUAL MARCH FOR LIFE IN WASHINGTON D.C.

Together with over 150 pilgrims from the Diocese of Toledo, Bishop Daniel E. Thomas will take part in the Annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. on Friday, January 19, 2024. Three charter buses full of pilgrims from 15 schools across the Diocese of Toledo, along with other faithful who will travel independently, will attend the March in a spirit of solidarity to pray for the protection of and respect for all human life from conception to natural death.

This annual march now celebrates the reversal of Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision in 1973 which legalized abortion on demand in our country, even as pilgrims continue to pray in a spirit of repentant hope, recognizing that the abortion battle continues to be fought now in individual states. In light of the tragic enshrinement of abortion in Ohio’s State Constitution through the 2023 passing of Issue 1, we will continue to march until the day that every single life, born and preborn, will enjoy the fundamental right to life!

Bishop Daniel E. Thomas invites all pilgrims from the Diocese of Toledo to join him prior to the March for Life at Holy Mass, which will be celebrated on Friday morning January 19th, at 9:30 a.m. at the Crypt Chapel of Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Michigan Ave NE, Washington, DC 20017 all those who cannot attend physically are invited to participate in prayer and spirit.

The Diocese of Toledo meeting place for the March on the 19th will be just to the left of the stage on the National Mall, near Madison Street in front of Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History at 12:30 p.m..
