Diocese of Toledo Bestows Drum Major Award On Community Members as Our Nation Honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The Catholic Diocese of Toledo is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2023 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drum Major Awards. Nominations were sought for individuals whose lives demonstrate Dr. King’s call for service, peace, justice and racial equality. The four recipients openly and actively support social justice causes, call for peace where there is conflict, serve the disenfranchised in their community, and strive for racial equality.
Bishop Daniel E. Thomas will celebrate Mass to Promote Harmony at 10:00am on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 85 S Sandusky St, Tiffin, OH 44883, which will conclude with the presentation of the awards.
The 2023 Drum Major Awardees are: Harvey Savage, Jr., Beverly Moore, Diane Moyer, and Sr. Paulette Schroeder, OSF/T.
