Diocese of Toledo Celebrates Accomplishments of 2023 Graduating Catholic School Seniors

This spring parochial, diocesan, and private Catholic high schools in the Diocese of Toledo celebrated 914 graduating seniors, 98 percent of the class, who together earned approximately $83 million in scholarships.

Of these graduates,

  • 755 enrolled in a college/university program,
    • 20 were offered full academic scholarships,
    • 11 were offered full athletic scholarships,
    • 18 earned National Merit Recognition as a Finalist, Semi-Finalist or Commended Student,
    • 160 earned college credit prior to graduation,
    • 77 enrolled in a 2-year post-secondary program,
  • 12 committed to military service,
  • 1 earned admittance into a military academy.


According to Matt Daniels, Senior Director of Catholic Education for the Diocese of Toledo,

“We are very proud of the graduates from our diocesan, parochial, and private Catholic Schools. We are thrilled to see how they will continue to make the Lord known, loved, and served in their colleges, universities, chosen professions, military service, or religious vocation in the future! We congratulate them on their accomplishments this year, which highlight the gift and value of a Catholic education.”
