This spring, 980 graduates received their high school diplomas from the 13 diocesan, parochial, and private Catholic high schools across the 19 counties of the Diocese of Toledo. These graduates together received over $97,530,000 in college or university scholarship funds with 27 of these students earning full academic scholarships.
One in four of these graduates have already begun earning college credit while in high school, and 95% are enrolling in a post-secondary degree program or joining a branch of the military.
Ten of these graduates are National Merit Finalists, a recognition that honors only 50,000 of the highest standardized test scores of high school students from across the country.
Nationally, statistics show consistently that graduates of Catholic high schools are more likely to vote, are more tolerant of diverse views, and are more committed to service as adults. Catholic schools provide over 24 billion dollars a year in savings for the nation.
