Meet the Newest Priests of the Diocese of Toledo

Fathers Travis Kahle, Eric Kaufman, and Kevin McGraw Ordained May 24, 2025

On Saturday, May 24, 2025, Bishop Daniel E. Thomas ordained Deacons Travis Kahle, Eric Kaufman, and Kevin McGraw to the sacred priesthood at Our Lady, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral in Toledo. The Diocese of Toledo rejoices in the gift of these three new priests who have generously answered God’s call to serve His people.

Father Eric Kaufman is a native of Glandorf and a member of St. John the Baptist Parish. From a young age, he was formed by the values of faith, service, and hard work—virtues that shaped both his professional and spiritual life. After earning a degree in Computer Aided Design, he worked at PRO-TEC Coating Company while actively serving in parish ministries and civic roles. His journey to the priesthood began in earnest at age 30 and has been deeply marked by a devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, particularly under the title of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Father Kaufman completed his seminary formation after nearly seven years and enters the priesthood with gratitude and trust in Christ’s call.

Father Kevin McGraw, originally from Elida and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Lima, experienced a transformative return to the faith during his time at Bowling Green State University. Through the ministry of the Newman Center, he encountered Christ in a life-changing way. After initially discerning religious life with the Redemptorists, he later returned to seminary formation for the Diocese of Toledo. Father McGraw studied at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Cincinnati and has spent recent years preparing for diocesan priesthood. With a heart on fire for evangelization and the salvation of souls, he now begins his priestly ministry with great joy and zeal.

Father Travis Kahle hails from St. Mary Parish in Bluffton and is the eldest of three siblings. He earned a degree in Philosophy from St. Joseph’s College and worked various jobs in Columbus before returning home in 2014 to help care for his father during his final year battling ALS. That season became a time of deep spiritual renewal and vocational discernment. He later earned a master’s degree in Healthcare Mission Leadership from Loyola University Chicago and gained pastoral experience as a youth minister and hospital chaplain. Father Kahle began seminary formation in 2018 at Mount St. Mary’s in Cincinnati, where he discerned his priestly vocation more clearly and was sustained by the prayers and support of the diocesan faithful.

Please join us in giving thanks for Fathers Kahle, Kaufman, and McGraw, and in praying for their priestly ministry as they begin this new chapter in service to Christ and His Church.
