Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord – Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, includes the Proclamation of the Passion, and marks the beginning of Holy Week. Live-streamed at 10 a.m. Sunday, April 5 with Bishop Daniel E. Thomas, Celebrant and Homilist
Chrism Mass – During this Mass, Bishop Thomas will bless the Oil of Catechumens and the Oil of the Sick as well as consecrate the Oil of the Sacred Chrism. Thursday of the Lord’s Supper (Holy Thursday) – This Mass commemorates the Last Supper, during which Christ instituted the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist, the Sacrament of Holy Orders and gave us His commandment to love one another. Friday of the Passion of the Lord (Good Friday) – The Solemn Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion commemorates the Passion and Death of Jesus Christ. The Easter Vigil in the Holy Night – The Easter Vigil will include the Lighting of the Paschal Candle, the Liturgy of the Word, Renewal of Baptismal Promises, and the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
