Two Diocese of Toledo Catholics invested into Order of the Holy Sepulchre
Rebecca Lynn Fahim, a parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Findlay, and Father Anthony Coci, pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Tiffin and St. Pius X in Sycamore, were invested into the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem during the North Central Lieutenancy’s annual Investiture Weekend in Cleveland.
Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Grand Master of the Order, invested the two new members during a solemn ceremony on Sunday, September 27, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in South Euclid. They were among 81 candidates welcomed into the Order, with more than 500 Knights and Dames participating in the celebration.
As members of the Order, Dame Rebecca Lynn Fahim, DHS, and Father Anthony John Coci, KHS, join Catholics around the world in a lifelong commitment to the Order’s spirituality and its mission of service and support for Christians in the Holy Land.
Following the investiture, Cardinal Filoni celebrated a Memorial Mass for Knights and Dames of the North Central Lieutenancy who had died during the past year. Cardinal Blase Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago and Lieutenancy Prior, concelebrated the Mass alongside bishops, archbishops and priests of the Order.
The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem is a pontifical order of chivalry under the protection of the Holy See, with roots tracing to the First Crusade. Today, it has more than 30,000 members worldwide. Through prayer, service and financial support, members help sustain the Church and Christian communities in the Holy Land.
The North Central Lieutenancy includes Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin. Fahim and Father Coci become the newest members of its Toledo Section.
