Young Catholic Professionals (YCP) is launching its 31st chapter in Toledo
Young Catholic Professionals (YCP) is launching its 31st chapter in Toledo!
YCP is the nation's largest young professional Catholic network, founded in 2010. Their website states: "In a world that can be void of meaning and leave them restless and dissatisfied, YCP brings together young professionals in their 20s and 30s into a community of belonging, support, and encouragement at all stages of the faith journey. YCP empowers and equips them to live their Catholic faith through everyday work, and to perform all work with excellence for the glory of God."
Jack Kelly is a local attorney who is passionate about YCP. He serves as the Director of Outreach for YCP Toledo. He shares his thoughts about the organization:
"There is a real trend in Catholics falling away from their faith during their young adult years. There are multiple reasons for this, but as a Church, we can always strive to better minister to these individuals and their families. For better or worse, young adults spend a majority of their time at work. YCP Toledo helps young adults to integrate faith in Christ within the workplace, which will only assist the great work of enthroning Jesus within the home and deepening engagement with the Church and Her Sacraments. I firmly believe that there is no greater leader, employee, vendor, or client than a person who is actively and intentionally working to become a saint. We encourage all young adults from ages 21-40 to learn what it is like to "Work in Witness for Christ." YCP Toledo will foster "Holy Disciples, Holy Families, and Holy Vocations," and we will have a lot of fun doing it!"
The Toledo chapter kicks off its programming on Thursday, March 9th at 7:00pm at The Pinnacle, Maumee. All Catholic professionals young and old are invited. This event is FREE and open to the public. Learn more and RSVP.
