Why the Sacred Heart?
June is the Month of the Sacred Heart, in honor of Jesus’ apparitions beginning in 1673 to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque—a Visitation Sister—through whom He asked the Church to foster devotion to His Sacred Heart. This novena continues that call, inviting the faithful to draw closer to Jesus through prayer, adoration, and sacrament.
The Monastery of the Visitation has been a prayerful presence in the Diocese of Toledo since 1915, and part of the worldwide Visitation Order—founded in 1610—which continues to serve the universal Church through lives of hidden prayer and sacrifice.
Come and be renewed in the love of the Sacred Heart. All are welcome.
