The Conventual Franciscan Friars of Our Lady of Consolation invite all to the Basilica & National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation to celebrate their order's patron: Saint Francis of Assisi.
On Friday, October 3 at 7:00pm, we celebrate the transitus or the passing of Francis from this life to eternal life. This moving liturgy, marked with prayer, song, scripture, and writings of Saint Francis himself, will be celebrated in the Original Shrine Church. A reception, hosted by the Secular Franciscans, will follow the Transitus in the OLC Office Building.
