The cathedral music ministry enables the assembly to contribute the active participation in song that rightly belongs to it. The cathedral choirs support the singing of the faithful and lift hearts and minds through the treasury of sacred choral music.

The cathedral appreciates the evangelizing role of outreach to the greater community through musical offerings in non-liturgical settings. Throughout the year many people are welcomed to the cathedral for musical events, which are frequently their first encounter with the cathedral or with the Catholic Church.
