Dear TEC Family...

We are aware, as are you, of a number of challenges that have surfaced in the past few years that have lowered our numbers for TEC.  At the summit, we wish to discuss those challenges and look to strengthen TEC in our diocese. In order to do that, we are calling the entire TEC family together for a family meal and discussion.

EVERYTHING is on the table... so please prayerfully consider ideas that you feel led to share.  We will have the opportunity to bring up concerns and also brainstorm solutions as a TEC family.

The only thing NOT on the agenda is the thought that TEC will be cut as a program.  We are strongly committed to supporting the TEC family and working together to strengthen the TEC program in our diocese.

This event is open to all TEC alumni, TEC teams (past or present), youth ministers or high school campus ministers.  Please forward this to anyone you think needs to be present.  For further information or to RSVP to this event, please e-mail us at:  DioceseofToledoYM@gmail.com.

In Christ,
Richard Maume

DYC - What Is It?

DYC is council of youth from parishes all over the Diocese of Toledo willing to engage in the active planning of and participation in all parish and diocesan youth ministry endeavors.  DYC is for youth looking for a   creative outlet in serving other youth.  Youth interested in being a part of the DYC must be aware of it’s monthly meeting schedule plus special role of advocating on behalf of the other youth of this diocese.

All youth participating in their parish youth programs (grades 9-12) are invited to be a part of the DYC for 2015-2016. The will meet monthly (usually on a weekend day) and two overnight meetings — in August (August 29-30 at the Lial Retreat Center)  and January (TBA) whereupon they will receive consistent Catholic discipleship formation and parish leadership development.  Are you interested, yet?

For more information or to apply, please see the DYC Handbook.
