2024 Diocesan Track & Field Championship

Welcome to the 72nd Annual CYO Diocesan Grade School Track Meet. Today over 350 youth from various parts of the Diocese of Toledo are coming together to compete in track and field events.

This meet was first held in 1951 at the Lucas County Recreation Center and was organized by Monsignor Jerome Schmit and Paul Johnson. The meet was moved to Bowling Green High School during the ‘90’s and then was run at Toledo Central Catholic for several years. In 2007 the meet was moved to Sylvania Southview because CCHS was not available due to renovations to their stadium. Then for several years the meet was held at Bowling Green High School. In 2020, no CYO track season was held due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2021 we returned to Central Catholic High School and we could not be more grateful that the athletic staff of Central Catholic High School is allowing us to utilize their track for today’s meet.
