Our Purpose:
The Mission Advancement Office (MAO) is responsible for advancing the Diocesan mission through the facilitation of donor relations, major gifts, planned giving, grants, annual giving, special events, communications, and stewardship. Our work supports the Annual Catholic Appeal, parishes and schools with capital campaigns, offertory enhancement programs and other fundraising efforts. The MAO offers support to the various Diocesan pastoral and ministerial departments and programs. Lastly, the MAO supports the utilization of the Catholic Investment Trust by parishes, schools, and other ecclesiastical organizations of the Diocese.

The Annual Catholic Appeal is the primary fundraising initiative across our 19-county Diocese of Toledo, uniting every parish in supporting the work of the Church beyond the walls of our own parish. Through the ACA, lives are touched through Catholic education, charitable outreach, spiritual formation, pastoral ministry, parish assistance, and many other essential programs that serve people at every stage of life. The Diocese of Toledo Scholarship Fund (DOTSF) is a scholarship granting organization registered with the State of Ohio’s Attorney General’s Office. DOTSF is a registered non-profit 501(c)3 organization that collects funds to assist students in grades K-12 to attend non-public schools within the Diocese of Toledo. The fund makes it possible for Ohioans to contribute funds to scholarships at participating school(s) of the donor’s choice.
