Establishing a Domestic Church

Since parents are called to be the primary educators of the faith for their children, each home is also called to be Domestic Church- a nurturing place where the children and parents grow in their relationship with Christ and learn the virtues of family life. The goal of the Domestic Church is to form disciples of Jesus Christ.

“The Christian home is the place where children receive the first proclamation of the faith. For this reason the family home is rightly called ‘the domestic church,’ a community of grace and prayer, a school of human virtues and of Christian charity” – Catechism of the Catholic Church
