Ministry Assistant - Discipleship and Family Life Department - Diocese of Toledo Pastoral Center

The Ministry Assistant provides administrative support to the Senior Director of the Department of Discipleship and Family Life, along with the other department ministries to manage and coordinate the administrative function and daily operations in an accurate, timely manner consistent with the objectives of the department. Also assists the Catholic Education Department with a variety of administrative tasks.

Top Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Two years of college in a related field preferred.

  • Experience in an office setting performing administrative duties, and three to five years of experience in a Catholic school or parish setting preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft products and document proofreading and accuracy.

  • Strong communication and organizational abilities and the ability to work in a respectful team environment with proven administrative skills including interpersonal relations, conflict resolution, and collaborative ministry.

  • Willingness to respect, promote accommodate, and not be in conflict with the mission, moral and social teachings, doctrines and laws of the Catholic faith.

Administrative Assistant - Diocese of Toledo Pastoral Center - Clergy, Consecrated Life, and Vocations Department

The Diocese of Toledo is searching for a full- time Administrative Assistant to join the Clergy, Consecrated Life, and Vocations Department. The Administrative Assistant assists the offices of the department by providing administrative and clerical support to ensure the efficient operation of the department consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the Diocese of Toledo.

This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Top Qualifications:

  • At least three (3) years of experience in a professional office environment performing administrative duties, including experience in record keeping, computer databases, and spreadsheets; typing and filing.

  • Requires a high level of computer expertise in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Chief Operating & Finance Officer - Diocese of Toledo Pastoral Center

The COO/FO is responsible for the administration of the temporal goods of the Diocese and their strategic use for the benefit of the Diocese, its parishes, schools, ecclesiastical organizations, employees, and all the Catholic faithful. This executive is responsible for ensuring that all financial systems and controls reflect best practices, as well as implementing the necessary operational and organizational processes that will enable continuous improvement and ongoing growth opportunities for the Diocese.

Top Qualifications:

  • The COO/FO must be a Catholic, in communion with the Church. Accordingly, this person must be living out the five precepts of the Church (Catechism of the Catholic Church ยงยง2041-2043).

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, business administration, finance or economics; CPA certification required; MBA strongly preferred.

  • Minimum of ten years of experience managing a professional financial and accounting staff as well as administrative and IT functions; experience may have been gained as a CFO, Controller or Director of Finance with a public or private corporation, or with a not-for-profit institution.
