Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA) Manager - Diocese of Toledo, Toledo

The Diocese of Toledo is searching for an Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA) Manager to join our Mission Advancement Office. The Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA) is the annual appeal to the faithful in the Diocese of Toledo to fund diocesan programs and ministries. The ACA Manager reports to the Mission Advancement Officer and coordinates and oversees the ACA process as well as supports the development and implementation of the overall Major Gifts program and Capital Fund Development for the Diocese of Toledo.

Candidates for the position must possess:
-Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business/management, marketing, communications, non-profit management or related field.
-At least three (3) years of experience in fundraising and major gift development with demonstrated success in establishing and maintaining annual fund programs, including ability to produce creative annual appeal strategies.
-Demonstrated computer knowledge and skills, especially fund development software, with experience with Parish Soft and Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge strongly preferred.
-Must be able to respect, promote, accommodate, and not be in conflict with the mission, moral and social teachings, doctrines, and laws of the Roman Catholic faith, with the demonstrated ability to articulate the philosophy and objectives of the Catholic Diocese of Toledo

Assistant to the Director of CYO Athletics - Diocese of Toledo - CYO, Toledo

The Diocese of Toledo is searching for a full-time Assistant to the Director of CYO Athletics. The Assistant to the Director plays a supportive role to the Director to organize, coordinate, and arrange all aspects of the diocesan athletic program (K-12) in the Diocese of Toledo. This faith building ministry serves to invite, welcome, and involve both the youth and adults into the life of the faith community.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred; High School or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Must have a high level of skill in the area of time management and project management, scheduling events, and high attention to detail in planning.
  • Must consistently demonstrate a positive, friendly, respectful, and caring attitude with colleagues and all one serves in word and deed; projecting a welcoming atmosphere to all who visit the offices.

Administrative Assistant - Diocese of Toledo, Toledo

The Diocese of Toledo is searching for a full- time Administrative Assistant to join the Clergy, Consecrated Life, and Vocations Department. The Administrative Assistant assists the offices of the department by providing administrative and clerical support to ensure the efficient operation of the department consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the Diocese of Toledo.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in record keeping, computer databases, and spreadsheets; typing and filing
  • Requires a high level of computer expertise in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including ability to produce clear, concise reports.Ability to capture critical information/key points by using exceptional active listening skills and asking appropriate probing questions while documenting conversations and recommendations given. Contacts frequently contain confidential/sensitive information, necessitating discretion at all times.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to establish and adjust priorities and be self-motivated.
  • Must have the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with employees at all levels. Ability to face situations firmly, courteously, tactfully, and with respect for the rights of others.
  • Provides exceptional level of service to employees, priests and pastors by responding to inquiries quickly, completely, accurately, and professionally.

  • Must successfully pass the required background check and all requirements of the Diocesan Program for Child and Youth Protection prior to employment and maintain a satisfactory background check throughout employment.
