Executive Assistant (Chancery) - Diocese of Toledo Pastoral Center, Toledo

The Diocese of Toledo is searching for a full-time Executive Assistant to serve in the Chancery offices. The Executive Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the Bishop of the Diocese of Toledo and ensures the efficient operation of the Chancery consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the Diocese of Toledo. This position is a critical link between the Office of the Bishop and the departments, institutions, clergy, consecrated religious, and lay faithful of the Diocese of Toledo as well as the general public.

At least five (5) years’ experience in a professional office setting performing advanced administrative duties. Previous experience working in a diocesan parish or school, or as an Executive Assistant to higher management positions, is preferred.

Diocesan Regional Director - Diocese of Toledo, Department of Catholic Education

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

  • Process and build systems for goal development, enactment, and measurement.
  • Participate in monthly learning triads (NDAA, Regional Director, Principals) focused on responsive support for teaching and learning goals.
  • Deliver school professional development to facilitate grade-level collaboration, content, and pedagogy training.
  • Facilitate Principal Professional Learning Communities to problem-solve challenges and ensure enactment of key change levers.
  • Analyze student assessment data for action planning.
  • Travel to the University of Notre Dame, participate in school visits, and attend professional development opportunities.
  • Build and execute Instructional and Coaching Framework, to drive excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Coaching: Leadership teams, school leaders, and identified teachers


Candidates for the position must possess:

  • Master’s Degree in education administration, equivalent, or actively pursuing.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in teaching or administration.
  • Ability to obtain an Ohio Department of Education license.
  • Must be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with the Church who upholds the teaching and traditions of the Catholic Church.
  • Ability to think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends, and incorporate them into the organizational plan, in collaboration with the school principals, Senior Director of Catholic Education, and related boards.

The Diocese of Toledo is searching for a Controller to join our ministry in the Diocese of Toledo Management Corporation.

The Controller reports to the Chief Operating and Finance Officer, leads a team of dedicated professionals in the areas of Financial Accounting and Audit & Compliance, and is a key member of the Management Corporation leadership team. We are searching for a forward-thinking financial leader who is team-oriented, proactive and can serve as collaborative business partner with all internal departments, affiliated organizations, committees/boards, and organizational leaders.

Top Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (MBA and/or CPA preferred) with a minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and fiscal operations with five (5) years of experience in a leadership level position; preferably in a non-profit organization.

  • Demonstrated experience with audit and internal control review engagements required.

  • Experience with a Certified Public Accounting firm is preferred.

  • Must be computer proficient, have excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills, possess thorough knowledge of accounting principles, auditing, financial reporting methodologies, accounting software, especially in QuickBooks.

Parish and Schools Accountant - Diocese of Toledo Pastoral Center, Toledo

The Diocese of Toledo is searching for a Parish and Schools Accountant to join our Finance Department. The Parish and Schools Accountant is responsible for providing direct support to Business Managers throughout the Diocese of Toledo regarding issues encountered during day-to-day accounting procedures. This includes but is not limited to providing expertise in QuickBooks, reviewing budgets, annual reports, and supporting the Audit & Compliance Manager on various projects as needed.

Top Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field from an accredited university, or equivalent in experience.

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting in a professional office setting.

  • Requires a high level of computer expertise in QuickBooks accounting software and Microsoft Office products.

  • Ability and desire to provide an exceptional level of service to Pastors, Business Managers, Principals and colleagues by responding to inquiries quickly, completely, accurately and professionally.
