Director of CYO Athletics - Diocese of Toledo Pastoral Center

The Diocese of Toledo is in search of a Director of CYO Athletics to join our ministry in the Department of Discipleship & Family Life. The Director of CYO Athletics is responsible for the strategic leadership of the diocesan athletic program (K-12) in the Diocese of Toledo. The inter-relationship of CYO Athletics with family life, parish life, and school life, is the focus. With this in mind, the Director of CYO Athletics and her/his team endeavors to help young people be more Christ-like in the way they live while ministering to youth, parents, coaches, officials and volunteers to bring our Gospel vision and values to life in every aspect of the CYO program.

Top Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in experience, with supervisory, management, and leadership experience required.

  • Experience and a high level of skill in the areas of time management and project management, scheduling events, and high attention to detail in planning. Must be flexible, self-confident, assertive and persuasive.

  • Must be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with the Church who has the ability to respect, promote, accommodate, and not be in conflict with the mission, moral and social teachings, doctrines, and laws of the Roman Catholic faith.

Family Catechesis Coordinator - Diocese of Toledo Pastoral Center

The Diocese of Toledo is searching for a Family Catechesis Coordinator to join our Department of Catholic Education, serving the Catholic schools, parish schools of religion, and homeschool families in the Diocese of Toledo. The Family Catechesis Coordinator plans, integrates, implements, oversees, and evaluates religious education, Sacramental preparation, and adult faith formation throughout the diocese. The Family Catechesis Coordinator assists pastors, Directors of Religious Education, and Catholic school administrators in their development, facilitation, and supervision of family-centered catechetical programs, with an emphasis on engaging parents, the primary educators, empowering families to assist in the formation of their children.

Top Qualifications:

  • Experience and knowledge that would demonstrate a current basic knowledge of the teachings of the Catholic faith. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred in Pastoral Ministry, Theology, Religious Education or similar course of study that would demonstrate a current basic knowledge of theology, catechesis and ministry.

  • At least three (3) years of successful experience leading and directing programs and events at a parish or diocesan level is preferred.

    Ability to clearly and enthusiastically communicate the vision, mission, and goals of family-centered catechetical programs and to motivate others in sharing the faith with renewed enthusiasm and new methods.

  • Must be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with the Church who has the ability to respect, promote, accommodate, and not be in conflict with the mission, moral and social teachings, doctrines, and laws of the Roman Catholic faith.

Chief Operating & Finance Officer - Diocese of Toledo Pastoral Center

The COO/FO is responsible for the administration of the temporal goods of the Diocese and their strategic use for the benefit of the Diocese, its parishes, schools, ecclesiastical organizations, employees, and all the Catholic faithful. This executive is responsible for ensuring that all financial systems and controls reflect best practices, as well as implementing the necessary operational and organizational processes that will enable continuous improvement and ongoing growth opportunities for the Diocese.

Top Qualifications:

  • The COO/FO must be a Catholic, in communion with the Church. Accordingly, this person must be living out the five precepts of the Church (Catechism of the Catholic Church §§2041-2043).

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, business administration, finance or economics; CPA certification required; MBA strongly preferred.

  • Minimum of ten years of experience managing a professional financial and accounting staff as well as administrative and IT functions; experience may have been gained as a CFO, Controller or Director of Finance with a public or private corporation, or with a not-for-profit institution.
