Director of Religious Education - St. Mary Parish, Vermilion

St. Mary Parish Vermilion, OH, is looking to fill the position of Director of Religious Education (DRE). DRE ministers, implements, and oversees Family Faith Formation programs for Preschool through grade 6 students. Supervises/recruits catechists, schedules meetings/classes with children and their parents, and exhibits goals of leading our young people and their families closer to Christ and forming missionary disciples.

  • Coordinate, implement, schedule, and plan all related catechetical sessions with children in Kindergarten through Sixth Grade.

  • Order program series or combination of texts, resources, and necessary supplies.

Staff Accountant - St. Joan of Arc Parish, Toledo

Position Summary:

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, ensure maintenance of adequate financial controls, and lead the coordination of periodic self-audit reviews for the parish ensuring efficient stewardship of parish resources

  • Performs bookkeeping and accounting functions for the parish and school

  • Maintains an accurate filing, record keeping, and reporting system for all parish financial matters.

Top Qualifications:

  • The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience with a non-profit organization

  • Preferred candidate will have at least three years full-time non-profit bookkeeping experience

  • The candidate must also possess knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles for a non-profit organization

  • The preferred candidate will have some experience and have a good working knowledge of the QuickBooks accounting software package

  • The position requires strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

The Director of Faith Formation directs and leads parish faith formation to form disciples and help evangelize East Toledo, in our parish formed in 2013 from the merger of six originating parishes. The Director builds relationships and forms teams/volunteers to foster discipleship and unity in Christ through faith formation opportunities, in collaboration with staff, clergy, families, parishioners, and beyond.
