Senior Accountant - St. Francis de Sales School, Toledo

St. Francis de Sales School of Toledo, Ohio is accepting applications for the position of a full-time, 12 month, benefit eligible Senior Accountant. St. Francis de Sales is a Roman Catholic, Salesian, grade 7-12 all-male college preparatory school, operated by the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales, serving over 700 students.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for keeping accurate records and assisting the Director of Finance in managing school finances. The position will assist the Director of Finance with preparing financial statements, creating and maintaining budgets, creating and analyzing reports and must be able to implement and integrate the schools software system, Veracross.

The candidate must have excellent organizational skills, including multitasking, time management, and meticulous attention to detail; the ability to problem solve, and be able to collaborate within the department as well as other departments within the school. Must have a bachelor’s degree with three years’ experience in finance or an accounting department; CPA is not required but a plus. Candidates must have excellent computer literacy skills and technology awareness, the ability to use school software, manipulate spreadsheets, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google suite. Candidates must have sensitivity to and acceptance of diverse cultures and individuals and must successfully complete the VIRTUS course and a background check.
