Food Service Manager - Our Lady of the Pines Retreat Center, Fremont

The primary role of the Food Services Manager is to coordinate the dining functions including menu planning, food ordering, and preparation, cooking, and serving of meals in accordance with the Ohio Health code and Our Lady of the Pines Retreat Center policies. In alignment with Mercy hospitality, an important aspect of this position is creating the meal direction that is nutritious and holistic in keeping with budget requirements. This position must have Serv-Safe Certification and requires a fluctuating work schedule (primarily weekends) to meet the needs of the center.

Top Qualifications:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, manipulate devices, reach with hands & arms, balance on a footstool or ladder, stoop, kneel, crouch, carry, push, pull. Must be able to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 30 pounds
  • Must have excellent communication skills and work well with other team members
  • Ability & willingness to work fluctuating hours and days (including weekends) as required.
  • Understanding of large-quantity food preparation, serving, and storage

Director of Congregational Wellness - Sisters of Saint Francis, Tiffin OH

The Sisters of St. Francis located in Tiffin, Ohio is seeking applicants for the part-time, exempt position of Director of Congregational Wellness, for 30 hours per week. The person selected will be responsible for working independently in monitoring and managing the health and welfare of elderly Sisters in a Catholic religious community. The individual will oversee the Sisters’ eldercare program, act as an advocate for, and assist with financial stewardship for the Sisters assigned. This is a position that will require a person who is compassionate, and understanding of the elderly and the aging process and its challenges. The individual will be responsible for creating procedures to assure quality of care and safety of elderly Sisters, and for providing case management services, assess and monitor medication, and communicate with doctors, nurses, social workers, therapists, and healthcare agencies to ensure quality care is provided. Travel and evening and weekend work may be required due to the intimate nature of the assignment. The person must have three to five years experience in health care, possess a RN license or; MSW and hold a current LSW or LCSW license.
